The Detroit Lions select Roy Williams

April 24, 2004 at 12:33 PM

I hope this works out for Roy. Seems to be an odd team to draft another receiver. The Lions took Rogers last year and now Roy this year. Was this their biggest need? I wanted him to Atlanta or Jacksonville. Michael Irvin is a fucking jackass. Shut the hell up. What a moron. He's ridiculing Roy for staying in school. Wow, I thought he was off the coke. Astounding.... Continue reading

The NFL Draft begins

April 24, 2004 at 11:06 AM

Here we go, one of the most entertaining and interesting TV events is about to begin. I don't care what kind of nerd it makes me, but I love the NFL Draft. I'll post my opinions/reactions to the picks.... Continue reading

Pat Tillman: 1976 - 2004

April 23, 2004 at 03:45 PM

This is a painful day for the Tillman family and my condolences go out to them. I have known Pat since 1998 and I don't know if I have ever met a more dedicated person in my lifetime. He represented all that was good in sports, bringing passion, honor, integrity and dignity to the game. Pat knew his purpose in life. He proudly walked away from a career in football to a greater calling,... Continue reading

Sad news. Former NFL player Pat Tillman turned down millions of dollars two years ago because he felt compelled to serve his country after 9/11. ABC News is reporting he has been killed in Afghanistan.... Continue reading

Eli Manning and family are whiny babies

April 22, 2004 at 09:17 AM

ESPN.com is reporting that Eli Manning and his dad, Archie, are little bitches. The news broke last night that Archie didn't want his son drafted by the San Diego Chargers because he didn't want him going into a losing situation. Which is complete BS, because they DO want him to get drafted by the New York Giants. FYI: the Giants and Chargers had the exact same crappy records last year. The real reasoning of course... There are 600,426,974,379,824,381,952 ways to spell Viagra

April 22, 2004 at 08:32 AM

Someone clever with too much time on their hands has "researched" how many different ways spammers spell Viagra. The real question is how many times someone has been stupid enough to click on one of the links and try to purchase the stuff.... Continue reading

First Rosa Parks, now Maurice Clarett

April 21, 2004 at 09:12 AM

Nice to see that the US Supreme Court has nothing better to do than hear the whining of Maurice Clarett. He's a punk ass kid, who's been nothing but trouble for everyone he's come in contact with. Ruth Baders Ginsburg is going to hear the case, I don't know what a 125 year old woman knows about football, so it's tough to guess which way she'll rule on the case. Personally, I think the NFL... Mas Job Interviewos

April 20, 2004 at 09:35 PM

So it had been a full year since I had had a job interview, and back then they were few and far between. Now I had an interview with Whole Foods last week and today I landed two more. That's three interviews in less than a week. Freaking awesome. I have an interview with Periscope Holdings tomorrow at 3, and then on Thursday I have an interview with Management Insights. Neither are big companies, but... Continue reading

In what universe is Barry Manilow a legend?

April 20, 2004 at 09:25 PM

Another American Idol show tonight, another random ass pseudo-celebrity guest host. They repeatedly called Barry Manilow a legend and a superstar, and as the night went on I realized I only know a single song of his. I know his name very well, I think everyone does. But what has he done, at least in the last 30 years? The only song I know at all is Mandy, but the only reason I know it... Continue reading

Web hosting and domain issues

April 20, 2004 at 11:34 AM

Arggggh, I'm having a ton of trouble figuring out all this hosting and domain crap. I've switched both my web hosting and my domain registration over to Surpass. Well at least I've tried to. I've had no problems with the hosting, but it's being a bitch about transferring the domain. It's my fault though, I forgot that I had locked my domain over at Dotster. So when Surpass tried to transfer, the transfer failed. I... Continue reading
