Second interview today

April 27, 2004 at 09:08 AM

Today will go a long way in determining my future. That's pretty heavy. I have a second interview this afternoon with Whole Foods in Austin, I'm one of only three finalists left for the job. If I do well and get the job I'll be working for an amazing company in the city I want to and doing a job that sounds really interesting to me. And if I bomb, the search will continue. I'm... School lunches

April 26, 2004 at 12:27 PM

I came to a realization about school lunches today. Okay, so I'm 24 years old and really shouldn't still be eating school lunches. But unless I want to not be lazy and/or wake up a lot earlier, I've got no other choice. Just another "perk" of the whole teaching gig. My realization is that instead of making school lunches healthier to prevent kids from getting fat, they just reduced the sizes of portions and blamed... Continue reading

Big news to start a big week

April 26, 2004 at 11:25 AM

I just received an email from Whole Foods about a second round interview. I'm really excited because the company is real good and the job seems great too. I have to take the whole day off from work to go on the interview, but that certainly isn't a bad thing. The rest of the week should be pretty eventful also. I have a phone conference with MII this afternoon. The interview last Thursday went well... Continue reading

Stupid Dreamweaver

April 26, 2004 at 09:12 AM

Freaking Dreamweaver fucked up my index templates. It randomly decided what should and shouldn't be capitalized and therefore I can't use my template I worked forever on. There should still be a decent version at home, I'll have to reupload it tonight.... Continue reading

Roy Williams and the rest of the Lions draft

April 25, 2004 at 04:00 PM

Now that Roy Williams is a member of the Detroit Lions, they automatically become one of my favorite teams. (Any team Ricky Williams, Roy Williams, or Vince Young plays for will be a team I follow and root for.) With the NFL Draft wrapping up I thought I would look at my new team's picks and their team as a whole. The first day of their draft went well. Getting Roy didn't exactly fill a... Continue reading

Review: Kill Bill Vol. 2

April 24, 2004 at 11:29 PM

Rating: 4/5Get it from Amazon.com! Another good movie. Well another good half of a movie, since it doesn't really stand on it's own. I liked this one a little better than the first, it had more of a storyline and more comedy to go with about the same amount of action. There was only one part that I didn't like. Bleep's training was lame, it seemed like a 1970's kung fu movie, only without the... Continue reading

Review: Kill Bill Vol. 1

April 24, 2004 at 10:29 PM

Rating: 4.5/5Get it from Amazon.com! Great movie. Watched it on DVD the other night and enjoyed it a lot. Wasn't really sure what to expect, I originally had no urge to watch it. It seemed pretty stupid in the previews. But Christina liked it, so I bought the DVD for her. There's not too many dull moments, the action comes early and often. Uma Thurman does a surprisingly good job in an action role. It... Continue reading

Dallas Cowboys draft so far

April 24, 2004 at 05:23 PM

I really don't know what to make of it yet. They have a desparate need for a top of the line running back, and Steven Jackson was there when their slot came up at number 22. But they traded down, and got a pretty damn good pick for it. I expect the first round pick they got next year will be pretty good (Buffalo will suck again), but they passed on a great talent at... The Draft continues...

April 24, 2004 at 12:45 PM

The Falcons are on the clock. I've got no idea what they're gonna do. They need lots of help everywhere but RB and QB. I think with the remaining guys on the board they should trade down and get an extra pick or two.... Continue reading
